A fashion shoot in Finland’s Arctic Circle turned snow, faux fur, huskies, and hard cold into a dreamlike visual story.
Summer talk filled fashion pages, yet the frame turned north. Finland’s Arctic Circle, where air can fall to minus thirty and breath crystallizes in front of the face, became the true stage for one of the most unique shoots of the photographer Christoph Langenberg.

The German model Maren Tschinkel, draped in Balenciaga, Valentino and Bottega Veneta, entered a setting of snowfields, huskies, and severe stillness, and the images found their charge at once. Beach light had no place here; hard cold ruled every decision.

The camera does no soft pleading with the cold. The styling presses deeper into it, using cream, white, and ivory so the garments seem to rise out of the snow rather than sit on top of it.
Balenciaga faux fur gains volume and motion, almost drifting like the weather itself, while heavy Valentino boots drive each look into the frozen ground.

The Bottega Veneta, Prada and Saint Laurent earrings catch the weak light with the glint of ice, giving the pictures a hard sparkle instead of a warm glow.
Color carries its own drama across the story. Soft pink clouds hang where the sun barely slips away, icy blues spread across the snow in long reflections, and sudden traces of aurora green break open the sky like a secret flare.

Midsummer in the far north can feel like a trick of nature, and the shoot leans into that strange split. Winter remains in command, even when the calendar claims another season.
Glamour in this setting means something different. Rather than display, the draw is presence. The model moves through trees and snow with substance that typical summer editorials struggle to replicate.
There’s nowhere to hide at minus thirty degrees. Every pose matters. Every fabric choice shows its true character.

Beyond a mere drape, the Balenciaga faux fur joins as another element of the environment. The Saint Laurent boots act as an anchor to the vision itself.
Seen through a photographer’s gaze, the Arctic judges every line, every texture, and every movement with icy honesty. Tschinkel holds the center of that tension, though the true drama lies in the collision between fashion and the frozen world around her.

Summer may have owned the headlines elsewhere, but the strongest images came from a place where winter still had teeth.
