ENEA Studio represents authentic Greek goldsmithing heritage; three generations of master craftsmen creating handcrafted gold jewelry with conflict-free diamonds. The studio offers quiet luxury: pieces that are graceful, subtle, and radiant, designed to be worn daily and treasured for a lifetime.
Lakis Tasatzis, the current creative director, is a third-generation goldsmith from Athens, Greece. His family’s jewelry workshop has been operating for over 70 years, affording the studio’s current team a unique perspective on jewelry as both craft and cultural heritage.
The link between ancient craftsmanship and Lakis’ family traditions is clear, especially given his background in archaeology. He personally encounters 2,500-year-old gold artifacts at dig sites, then goes back to a workshop where his grandfather used similar techniques. Thus, ENEA Studio aims to evoke that heritage for women who value subtle, shining jewelry designed for daily use.
A Jewelry Brand Rooted in Greek Heritage
Building a direct-to-consumer fine jewelry brand from Athens meant that the team had to prove to consumers that exceptional quality could come from a small family workshop rather than a large manufacturer.
That’s why, at ENEA Studio, every piece is handcrafted from solid gold and conflict-free diamonds. Maintaining those standards while growing required the studio to expand its team thoughtfully, without compromising the artisanal quality that defines its work. To accomplish this, they’ve continued to focus on craftsmanship and transparency rather than marketing gimmicks. In this way, they allow the work to speak for itself, a choice that has clearly resonated with audiences.
Designs That Mirror the Culture
The studio’s design philosophy is rooted in ancient Greek aesthetics: graceful forms, subtle details, pieces that feel timeless rather than trendy. The team’s commitment to accessible luxury also reflects the culture itself. The studio offers 14k solid gold jewelry with conflict-free diamonds at prices that don’t require a special occasion to justify. As Lakis says, “Every piece is designed to be worn daily, not saved for someday.”
Finding Success and Paying it Forward
Lakis’ family workshop, for years, crafted pieces for Greece’s top jewelry brands, including white-label pieces sold under other brands in luxury boutiques. This experience elevated the team’s craftsmanship to the highest level. Now, through ENEA, the studio offers that same premium quality directly to customers.
Since launching, ENEA has built a loyal following across the United States, developed signature collections such as the diamond-by-the-yard necklaces, and maintained its commitment to conflict-free diamonds and ethically sourced gold.
Final Thoughts
Lakis concludes that, “My grandfather used to say that a well-made chain should ‘drape like water and glint like sunlight on the Aegean.’ That image has guided our design philosophy ever since. When I sit at the same workbench where he spent decades perfecting his craft, I feel connected to something larger than myself. We still use many of his original tools. Every ENEA piece carries that continuum. It’s not just jewelry, it’s heritage you can wear.”
The company is currently expanding its US operations, building a small studio in California, and planning to move a significant portion of its production stateside in the near future, while maintaining its Athens workshop. In a few years, ENEA aims to be a truly transatlantic brand: Greek heritage and craftsmanship, American reach and accessibility.
